Reviewed by the New York Times as ‘Big-Screen Perfection,’ ‘Lady Bird’ tells the story of Christine McPherson, a senior at a Catholic girls’ high school in Sacremento, California, who goes by the name Lady Bird - her given name in that it is a name she has given to herself. A 2017 American comedy-drama, written and directed by Greta Gerwig and starring Saoirse Ronan. Lady Bird tells the coming-of-age story of a high school senior and her rocky relationship with her mother.

Having premiered last September at the Telluride Film Festival, Lady Bird has garnered a lot of praise and recognition. The National Board of Review, the American Film Institute, and Time Magazine named the film as one of the top 10 films of 2017 and it was nominated in five categories at the 90th Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Actress, Best Original Screenplay and Best Direction, as well as winning Best Motion Picture and Best Actress at the 75th Golden Globe Awards.
